EYFS Intent
At Charles Baines Primary School, the EYFS curriculum is created to provide a happy and consistent environment which is fully inclusive and allows all children to be able to learn and grow through an engaging hands-on curriculum. As a school we take pride in learning through play by ensuring that we provide children with an exciting and ever-changing continuous indoor and outdoor provision, which follows the children’s interests and supports learners in investigating and developing their skills with a strong link to the local community.
Within our child-centered curriculum we value the whole-child and provide children with a range of experiences which allows them to explore the natural world around them whilst also ensuring a strong focus on a range of personal, social and emotional activities. We are passionate about children engrossing themselves within their learning and engaging within a language-rich environment which will support children in developing their communication skills to ensure strong friendships and to build upon their resilience.
Charles Baines Primary School ethos and vision is that ‘Together We Achieve’. Therefore, we strive to form and maintain high-quality interactions and positive relationships between students, parents, teachers and staff throughout the school which will allow us to provide a smooth transition from EYFS to KS1 and continue to thrive as they progress throughout the school.
